Behind the beans

We are a micro roaster serving Specialty Coffee from origins around the world. Our goal is simple: source the best coffee we can get our hands on and share it with our community. Simple in theory, but something we could never hope to accomplish alone.

Let's pretend that black liquid in your morning cup is something more than just a means of waking up. Imagine the cycle of water as it falls down from tiny droplets within a cloud across mountains, rivers and valleys to arrive in the bottom of our cup. Picture the sunlight as it travels across space and time in order to provide the coffee plants with the necessary energy to grow. And finally, the extensive efforts of the producers, farmers, and importers without whom specialty coffee would not exist. 

Drinking coffee is a rich sensory experience and can become a meditative practice worthy of taking a few extra moments to enjoy. For us, this attention to the details is the intersection of coffee and zen.
