Zazen Coffee

A collaboration for the future of coffee

The coffee industry relies on millions of farmers, yet many are underpaid and undervalued—an injustice that has persisted for decades. An estimated 40% of coffee farmers live in poverty, even as smallholder farmers produce over 60% of the global supply. Living wages are not just a human right—they're essential for the future of coffee. Without equitable pay, farms will fail, and communities will suffer.
In order to create a sustainable future, businesses and consumers must collaborate with farmers to ensure fair compensation, transparent practices, and shared success. Together, we can build a coffee supply chain that values people and protects the planet.

Meet the roaster

My name is Corbin, I'm the roaster and co-owner of Zazen Coffee! I discovered my passion for coffee only a few years ago but it feels like it has been a long time coming.

My roasting journey began in my kitchen with an old popcorn maker! We've come a long way since those early experiments but I haven't lost that initial spark of curiosity.

Fast forward several years and I'm all in on coffee! I left behind a job I had little interest in to pursue something I love.

What started as a love of coffee has grown into something more. There's millions of people out there whose livelihoods depend on this product and the coffee industry has historically been one of extraction and exploitation. The model needs to change if there is to be a future in coffee and we are committed to being a part of the solution. Thank you for your support!
